About Sought
Sought began with a frustration familiar to legal and information professionals: too many file types, too many manual steps and no simple way to turn everything into one clear PDF.
Founder story
As a lawyer with experience in privacy and Right to Information, Rebecca Murray regularly worked with emails, attachments, documents and records that needed to be converted, checked and organised.
The available options often felt either too complicated for the task or too inefficient. A straightforward job — bringing mixed files together in one useful PDF — could involve multiple tools, repeated conversion and avoidable manual checking.
Rebecca saw an opportunity to build the focused tool she wanted to use: one place to add mixed files, arrange them, identify duplicate material, review the result and create one PDF.
Privacy was part of the idea from the beginning. Document tools often handle personal, confidential or professionally sensitive information, so questions about data location, retention and user control should be visible — not buried.
That combination still guides Sought today: keep the product simple, make the workflow useful and give people clearer control over their information.

Founder
Rebecca is a lawyer specialising in Right to Information and Information Privacy. After years working with government agencies and information access teams, she saw firsthand how much time professionals lose processing, organising and converting large volumes of documents.
She founded Sought to create a simpler way to turn complex document sets into organised PDFs — without compromising the privacy and security of the information they contain.
Mission
Sought helps people move from scattered digital files to one organised PDF without turning a routine task into a complicated software project.
