Sought was created by lawyers with experience in privacy and Right to Information. That perspective shaped a document workflow designed to keep data location, retention and control visible.
Principles

When you create a hosted Sought account, you choose from the data regions available to your plan. Free and Base plans use the region selected at sign-up. Pro users can change their data region when their needs change.

You can delete uploaded documents as soon as you finish processing them. If you do not remove them sooner, uploaded files are automatically deleted after 12 hours.

Sought Enterprise can be installed on your organisation’s own servers, giving your team direct control over the environment in which Sought is deployed.

Founder Rebecca Murray’s work in privacy and Right to Information exposed a simple gap: people needed an easier way to convert and organise documents without treating data handling as an afterthought. Sought was built to bring those needs together.

Sought processes data as needed to provide the service. Your documents remain yours. Sought is built with privacy at its core, and we have no access to the content of the documents you upload. Your files are processed securely, remain under your control and can be deleted as soon as you’re finished with them.
